Dr. Alex Anozie, Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, has passed away.
On Tuesday, at his home in Ososami, Ibadan, Anozie passed away at the age of 74.
According to information obtained by SAREWA HAUSA , the deceased’s body has been returned to his hometown of Igboukwu in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Until his passing, he led the Ibadan-based optical firm CONAC as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
The deceased’s personal assistant, Mr. Samuel Ule, has confirmed his passing.
He told the press that Anozie’s health was declining and that he had walked to the Fumbell Diagnostic Centre on Monday morning to have tests done.
“The result of the test was to come out today, but sadly we were shocked to hear that he slept and could not wake up from his sleep,” he said.
According to Ule, the deceased spent his entire life in Ibadan and made significant contributions to the development of the city’s economy.
