Oyebanji won’t force me or anyone else to vote for a certain candidate in the next Ekiti LG election

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has promised to be impartial in the upcoming local government poll in the state, which will take place in December.

With the 2024 Appropriation Bill in mind, Oyebanji pledged that his administration will adopt a methodical approach to project implementation and base its actions on the needs of communities and municipalities as a whole.

As part of a Town Hall Meeting with stakeholders in the Ekiti North Senatorial District on Monday in Ido Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji made these remarks in anticipation of the 2024 budget. This district includes the local government areas of Ido/Osi, Moba, Ilejemeje, Ikole, and Oye.

“I will be fair to all of you,” he promised. Since the party’s fate is now in the hands of its leaders and I am a process person, no one should place any pressure on me. All of you, especially the contestants, must work with them as they are the hosts of the party. I will not be an imposer.

Many of you are vying for council seats because you see them as more desirable than commissioner roles. Those who don’t pay their dues to the party’s top brass are doomed to fail in their council positions. I’ve told the top dogs to take over. He then added, “I wish the others well, but I am with the party.”

In response to the demands made by the representatives of each council area, Governor Oyebanji stated that he had promised during the campaign that his government would be inclusive and a replication of the government of Governor Kayode Fayemi, which had previously held the belief that the people are the powerhouse of any administration.

Everything I’ve promised the people of Ekiti, I will give to them. I won’t let anything derail me now. I will not deviate from my plan at any point. As my employer, I have an obligation to return to you for sustenance on a regular basis.
