Don’t let criminals set rules for you, Peter Obi said Nigerians at Zamfara University

Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has spoken out about the kidnapping of young women from Federal University, Gusau.

An unknown number of students from the Federal University of Gusau were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen on Friday morning, according to a report from SAREWA HAUSA.

Sabon-Gida, a village in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State where many university students live, was reportedly targeted by terrorists.

Obi urged his countrymen not to let criminals and bandits dictate the terms of Nigerian society.

If criminals try to dictate the norms by which we all must abide as a nation, we must fight back. And we must not let thieves and bandits ruin our country.

I have faith that a secure and peaceful Nigeria is feasible, and hence fighting insecurity in the New Nigeria of my dreams is a top priority,” he wrote on X.
