Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the recent election, has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, citing 51 different reasons for doing so.
The former governor of Anambra State stated his disappointment with the verdict Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
You may recall that Obi had previously petitioned the Tribunal in an effort to have himself declared the victor of the Presidential Election held on February 25.
INEC announced that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has won the election.
However, PDP members Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar are contesting INEC’s declaration in court.
Both Obi and Atiku vowed to appeal the tribunal’s decision in favor of Bola Tinubu to the Supreme Court.
However, Obi’s plea has been submitted to the Supreme Court.
