Vice Chairman Aribasoye is elected by the Nigerian Conference of Speakers

The Nigerian Conference of Speakers has chosen the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, to the position of Vice Chairman.

Aribasoye was unanimously chosen to lead the Conference’s South and West faction as its new chairman.

The same may be said for the Nigerian Conference of Speakers, of which Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, is now the Chairman.

They were elected at the 36th Speakers’ Conference, which is currently underway in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

All 36 state assembly speakers are represented in the Conference.

Aribasoye vowed to devote his full energy and loyalty to the Conference.

Having accomplished so much, the Ekiti Assembly member for Ikole constituency 2 exclaimed, “I feel humbled and overwhelmed with joy.” Ekiti State House is quickly rising to prominence in Nigerian politics and leadership, as evidenced by the appointment of its speaker as Vice Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Speakers.

This is more evidence that we are being recognized for our work to reform Ekiti’s government and improve the lives of its citizens by passing legislation that prioritizes the needs of the people.

Legislators need to prove they can be counted on as partners by the executive branch. The time has come to run a legislative body that is as efficient as the administration in making Nigeria great. The strength of a nation’s laws is a major factor in completing the work of nation building.

I value the professionalism and friendly demeanor of my coworkers at the national and regional levels. The faith and confidence you have placed in my ability to play well with others will not be misplaced. That is something I guarantee to do.

I am grateful to Governor Biodun Oyebanji and my fellow legislators in Ekiti State for their unwavering support. This has been the jumping off point for accomplishing this enormous goal. This is something I will never take for granted.
