Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy has poked satirical fun at President Tinubu over plans to launch a military incursion into the Niger Republic in the wake of their recent dispute.
President Tinubu’s request for Senate approval of a military intervention against the military junta running the Niger Republic has been met with controversy. Regarding this, Burna Boy makes fun of Tinubu.
In reaction, Burna Boy expressed his doubts about the wisdom of going to war while the country struggles to cope with rising gas prices during an Instagram live session.
After quickly eliminating fuel subsidies, the “Big7” singer gave President Tinubu some advice, telling him to stop focusing on military initiatives in Niger and instead fix the fuel pricing crisis.
Burna Boy, expressing himself in Pidgin English, said:
Whaddya think, sub na? According to them, this is how we should join a war [laughs]. Gasoline will never make you want to start a war.
“How do you plan on getting to the front lines? The next time you utilize…. Is that generator being used by them at this very moment? Gasoline engine. Surprise me, e. Wahala, Nigeria never gets tired.
