David Adeleke, better known by his stage name, Davido, is a Grammy-winning Nigerian musician who has responded to his cousin Tunji Adeleke’s elevation to the position of board chairman in Osun State.
When Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke selected Tunji Adeleke, the son of his late brother and ex-governor Isiaka Adeleke, to lead the Local Government Service Commission, it caused an online outrage.
Tunji had recently completed his service in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2022 after graduating from Adeleke University.
On Monday, in response to Tunji’s appointment, Davido posted a message of congratulations and support for his cousin on Twitter.
He congratulated @Tunegee on becoming the chairman of the Osun state local government commission. As a leader, you will succeed… we’ve got your Dey.
The singer wrote on Instagram:
“I’m really happy for you, Cuzzy @Tunji. The secretary of the Osun State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, received a countess visit from the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Tunji Adeleke, earlier today.
