Read Here About Why Lionel Messi Ignored Saudi Arabia In Favor Of Inter Miami

According to Manchester City icon Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi opted to play for Inter Miami instead of moving with his family to Saudi Arabia.

After turning down a record contract offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, Lionel Messi transferred to Inter Miami last month.

The attacker for Barcelona and PSG declined an invitation to Saudi Arabia to renew his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Aguero speculates that Messi joined Inter Miami because he was bored of playing at a high level and wanted to join a more relaxed team.

With Leo [Lionel Messi] and Cristiano at the conclusion of this stage and many players in their 32nd and 33rd years, perhaps they are tired of the constant pressure to perform at a high level.

To quote a friend of Leo’s, “I think that Leo opted for him and his family to be well and to be able to play as relaxed as possible; and in the other case if he had been playing in Europe, obviously that the requirement is different and so he can’t play his last years the way he wanted, which is to enjoy, right?”

And clearly, I think he choose Miami over Arabia because of the ease of getting here. There are a lot of Latinos in Miami, and I assume he also considered how easily his own family would settle there, whereas in Arabia things could be trickier.

I don’t think he saw anything else,” Aguero said to Stake.
