Mikel Obi, the former captain of the Super Eagles, has finally addressed the long-running allegation of a feud with the great musician 2baba.
There were accusations in 2006 that Mikel Obi had rejected the Afropop icon in a London club, fueling speculation of a grudge between them. To add to the suspicions, four years later, 2baba recorded a popular song titled “Only Me” that many felt was about their purported conflict, even though 2baba denied it and stated that the song was not a diss track or about Mikel.
Mikel recently interacted with an inquisitive fan on Instagram, who asked him directly about the supposed beef. Mikel used the opportunity to clear the air, stating that he never ignored 2baba in a London club. He stressed that he is a tremendous fan of 2Baba and would never do anything to offend him.
In response to the fan’s question, Mikel stated, “No, I never did.” I am a huge fan of his, so I would never do something like that. Have a wonderful day.”
