Axel Disasi, a defender for AS Monaco, has agreed to join Chelsea for 45 million euros (about £38.57 million).
Disasi, a 25-year-old French international, will provide Chelsea with depth at right center back after Wesley Fofana’s injury.
After having surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament, Fofana will be out of commission for an extended period of time.
Benoit Badiashile is also out with an injury and won’t be able to play till the Premier League season has begun.
Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, and Levi Colwill (whom Brighton is reportedly interested in) are Chelsea’s current central defense possibilities.
