Simon Ekpa Trained by DSS to Stir Up Trouble in the Southeast

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) claim their group will be destroyed by the Department of State Services (DSS) and its factional head, Mr. Simon Ekpa.

On Monday, the group’s Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, released a press statement in which she accused Ekpa of being a DSS mole who had been trained in 2016.

Since IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest in 2021, Ekpa, a separatist living in Finland, has assumed leadership of the organization and fashioned himself as Prime Minister of the Biafra Government in Exile.

The troublemaker has been responsible for issuing “sit-in” or “civil disobedience” orders throughout the Southeast.

Despite Ekpa’s assurances that he is working to secure Kanu’s swift release, IPOB has distanced itself from him.

Powerful, on the other hand, questioned Ekpa’s leadership inside IPOB and urged others to ignore him.

Those present pondered the lack of diplomatic overtures from the Nigerian government to the Finnish administration in regards to Ekpa’s actions.

He said that the Nigerian DSS had been preparing Ekpa to usurp IPOB’s leadership in 2016 prior to this time, but that their “evil plan” had ultimately failed.

While our leader was in custody in 2016, DSS invented a new leader for IPOB and named him “faceless Okwudili.” This “faceless Okwudili” was actually Simon Ekpa. Before this, Simon was an outspoken opponent of the Ndigbo in Finland, and IPOB in particular. IPOB Finns will vouch for this.

According to IPOB, “Simon Ekpa is the exclusive project of the Nigerian DSS, to create a situation of unrest and hostilities in the South East, with the end product being to destroy the image of IPOB.”
