Onaiyekan and the APC support group respond that only God can remove Tinubu as Nigeria’s president

Only God, according to the Confederation of All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups Across the Country, can depose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria.

On Sunday, at a news conference in Kaduna, the organization made these claims.

The press conference was called after the Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, His Eminence, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, voiced his displeasure with the results of the most recent presidential election.

President Tinubu is not yet Nigeria’s president until The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal says so, according to Onaiyekan, as pointed out by the group’s director-general, Muhammad Kialani.

Kailani called for the cleric’s arrest, perplexed as to why Onayekan, who should be teaching love and peace, would instead resort to “an agent to distabilize his dear country, Nigeria.”

To disregard the Christian leader, Kailani urged his countrymen.

“We woke up today and saw on social media that those who are supposed to bring unity in diversity in this country are the ones trying to bring war,” he remarked. It’s their intention to cause trouble.

We don’t think that Archbishop John Onaiyekan will disagree that Tinubu is the current president of Nigeria. He claimed that we do not have a president until the court declared that the election was final.

We, the nationwide union of APC supporters, strongly disapprove of this. We are not satisfied. People in Nigeria are unhappy.

The President of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is also Yoruba, but this man has been publicly criticizing him. More than 80% of Yorubas didn’t vote for him in the election, and neither did the Afenifere.

That crowd includes people like Chief Bode George and Pastor Tunde Bakare. They flat-out told us they don’t want him. This presidency is a gift from us.

He is impregnable. And only God can get rid of him. Voting is complete. On February 25th, 2023, the Nigerian people made their voices heard.

We urge all Nigerians to reject this proposal.

At long last, we’re inviting Archbishop John Onaiyekan to join us on the political scene. The pulpit is off limits to him. Instead of being at home in his luxury while being used to destabilize us, he should come observe how we play politics in this country. Our response will not be casual. The two of us are keeping a close eye on everything.
