Romelu Lukaku, the Chelsea striker, has provided an update on transfer talks with Juventus, claiming that the transaction will not be completed.
Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea permanently during the summer transfer window.
Last season, the Belgian was on loan at Inter Milan.
Lukaku’s first choice was to stay at Inter Milan, but the Serie A heavyweights were unwilling to pay Chelsea’s £40 million asking price.
As a result, Juventus has begun negotiations to sign Lukaku this summer.
However, Juventus supporters staged a protest against the club’s pursuit of Lukaku, and the former Manchester United star now appears to have ruled out a move to the Old Lady.
“I don’t think the deal will go through,” Lukaku was heard saying in a video when an Inter Milan supporter asked about a prospective move to Juventus.
The video quickly went popular on social media.
Lukaku’s current Chelsea deal expires in 2026.
The 30-year-old was just left out of Chelsea’s pre-season trip.
