But now James has explained why Chelsea struggled so much during the previous season.
The England legend said that certain players’ habit of already planning their exit contributed to the problem.
The upcoming season will be challenging. James claimed at a news conference (as quoted by The Chelsea Chronicle) that “last season was the toughest I have experienced.”
He said, “It was very difficult last season because there was a lot of change, and some players did not want to be there because they were not playing, but we are moving in the right direction.”
