Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer to Tinubu: “Stop DSS from disobeying the court order

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received a statement from IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, regarding the actions of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Tinubu was encouraged by Ejimakor to prevent the secret service from defying court orders.

He criticized DSS for repeatedly ignoring court directions.

In a tweet, Ejimakor reflected on the time it disregarded a judge’s order to release Kanu.

He penned,

That DSS has a history of ignoring court orders is highlighted by the fact that in 2022, the Federal High Court in Umuahia issued an order finding MAZI NNAMDI KANU’s incarceration to be illegal.

“TINUBU (@officialABAT) is responsible for ending this pattern of lawbreaking.”
Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has had his bail application denied by the DSS.

After being charged with illegal firearm possession on two counts, a Lagos Federal High Court set Emefiele’s bail at N20 million.
