Oshiomhole defends the Federal Government, saying that the APC didn’t promise a miracle and that Tinubu isn’t a magician

President Bola Tinubu does not have any magic answers, according to Adams Oshiomhole, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

When asked about this on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today,’ the Senator for Edo North responded as follows.

Tinubu and the APC, he claims, never made such a claim throughout their campaigns to improve Nigeria overnight.

They are aware that they did not vote for a magician. And no miraculous answer was ever offered. Don’t even bother to give me an illustration. More than you, I am aware of the promises that the APC made.

We are the original source of any and all information. We didn’t say it would be fixed in 24 hours, and we didn’t say it would be fixed in one night. Can you produce any paperwork indicating that we committed to do this task within 24 hours?

You seem to believe that Tinubu’s promises would be fulfilled magically once he becomes power, whether through divine intervention or sheer luck. What the Nigerian people need, he added, is what the president has shown: the courage to make a decision, the humility to acknowledge some of the unexpected repercussions of that decision, and the will to deal with those consequences.

The ex-president of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC) went on to say that fixing the current fuel price spike, rising unemployment, and other problems won’t happen overnight.

The recent increase in the price of gasoline, from N540 to N617 per liter, has been widely criticized, as reported by Dailytrust.

Oshiomhole urged restraint in criticism of the Tinubu administration over the fuel price increase.

He had nothing but praise for Tinubu, saying that the new governor has wasted no time getting to work.

A remedy doesn’t magically appear when you wheel the patient into the operating room just because the doctor is dedicated to treating the patient and professes to know the nature of the ailment plaguing the patient, he said.

I believe President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated dedication. He cut off the aid and admitted that raising wages in the formal economy was a priority. The other is to set aside money to help those in need.
