Kanu Nwankwo, the new Chairman of Enyimba International Football team of Aba, has stated that he is motivated to lead the team to a higher level.
The former Super Eagles footballer made the pledge at the Abia State government house in Umuahia, where he informed Governor Otti of his arrival and preparedness to take up his duties at Enyimba.
He stated that the Aba-based club would see significant progress under his leadership and thanked the State Governor, Alex Otti, for considering him for the position.
Nwankwo consequently urged Abia’s outstanding sons and daughters to work together to restore the state’s glory.
Caleb Ajagba, Governor Otti’s Chief of Staff, welcomed Kanu into his office and stated that the Governor’s enthusiasm for greatness motivated him to designate the former international star as Enyimba’s Chairman.
The Chief of Staff pushed Kanu to build on his prior achievements in soccer to change Enyimba into a better team, reminding him that people’s eyes and hopes are on him to succeed.
