According to the statement, Abba was on his way to deliver the stolen tricycle to a receiver in Jimeta, the administrative and commercial sector that, along with Yola Town, forms the Yola capital city.

According to the police statement, anyone whose tricycle has been taken should notify the Divisional Police Headquarters in Song, near Gombi.

According to sarewahausa the tricycle, or Keke NAPEP as it is more often known, is the most common mode of commercial transportation in Adamawa State.

It is the only mode of transportation within major towns such as Yola, Mubi, and Numan, as well as between towns that are not far apart; cars, mostly Corolla Starlet models, are used as inter-city commercial vehicles on longer routes such as Yola-Mubi, Yola-Ganye, Yola-Numan, and the like.
