Charly Boy Names Peter Obi Nigeria’s ‘Jesus On Earth’

Charles Oputa, a controversial veteran Nigerian artist and popular Labour Party member, has declared that the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, is Nigeria’s “Jesus on earth.”

Charly Boy made the connection after the former governor of Anambra spent his 62nd birthday with hundreds of displaced people in several camps in Plateau State’s Mangu Local Government Area.

Obi was praised by the spectacular musician for his generous donations of “cheques and trucks of food items” to the displaced folks.

Charly Boy posted images from the event to his Twitter account on Friday, writing:

“Yesterday, His Excellency Peter Gregory Obi celebrated his birthday with over 18,000 displaced persons in various IDP camps in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, handing out cheques and a truckload of food items and promising them a new Nigeria.”

“I don say Peter na my own Jesus on earth, no be like some great grandfather wey suppose go tanda for der village dey still measure Prik with small children.”

“Peter is not a friend; he is the ‘Chosen One.”
