AbroadGovernor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is reportedly incapacitated and receiving treatment abroad, according to Abdullahi Adamu, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akeredolu has been absent from work for over a month to focus on his health; he is said to be battling leukemia.
However, Adamu stated that the governor is unable to act at a meeting between APC national leadership and APC state chairmen.
We are deeply saddened to share the news that the Governor of Ondo State, who we understand to be hospitalized abroad, is gravely ill.
All of us hope and pray that he will get well soon.
Adamu was reported by Daily Trust as saying.
He added that President Bola Tinubu is still conducting interviews to assemble the greatest possible cabinet, thus the list of ministers who will serve in his administration is not yet complete.
In his words, Tinubu has only just began “and he is doing his extensive consultation before coming up with his nominees for ministers.”
First, he added, the ministers will be nominated.
After Mr. President submits them, they will undergo vetting until they are announced. In addition, the President will officially name his cabinet members and swear them in.
