Bukayo Saka Speaks After England Hat-trick: “I Will Frame The Match Ball”

Bukayo Saka will never forget that night.
On Monday evening, the 21-year-old Arsenal winger scored his first career hat-trick as England continued their unbeaten start to Euro 2024 qualifying with a 7-0 thrashing of North Macedonia.

Saka scored twice in four second-half minutes to complete his treble, garnering a standing ovation from the enthusiastic home fans inside Old Trafford.

“I’m going to frame the match ball, but I’m going to hold it in my arms for a few days first,” Saka said on BBC Radio 5 Live after a performance that manager Gareth Southgate said would “live with Saka forever.”

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Joe Cole praised Saka as the “face of English football’s future” in an interview with Channel 4, while ex-Three Lions captain Steven Gerrard said, “The scary thing is he’s only going to get better.”
