Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, a Nigerian chef, has disclosed plans for a 150-hour cooking marathon.
Chef Dammy reiterated her choice to break a Guinness World Record (GWR) in an interview with reporters in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital of Ekiti, on Friday.
While recognizing the support of stakeholders both inside and outside of Ekiti state, the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) 300-level Mass communication student stated that she is determined to shatter the world record with the 150-hour cooking marathon she plans to undertake in the coming months.
This comes after Guinness World Records verified on Friday, June 16, that they received Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon application, despite the fact that the chef did not apply before beginning her 120-hour cookathon.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba, Chef Dammy revealed that she did not cook for Guinness World Records or to hold a record. She also stated that she was not in competition with Hilda Baci.
With 93 hours and 11 minutes, Hilda Baci established the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
