“In 2022, I’ll Give Away More Than N250m” A. Davido

Davido, a well-known artist from Nigeria, has promised to donate more than N250 million to orphanages all throughout the country this year.
He wrote on Twitter to make the promise:

“This year on my birthday, we do it again! We grow larger! #BIG30 #WRBLO,”

Recall that the singer began a contribution exercise with his buddies as a joke on November 17, 2021, a few days before his 29th birthday.

Additionally, his supporters grabbed at the chance to show their support for him by sending donations.

The DMW chief requested that each buddy contribute N1 million to a Wema Bank account.

In the first 48 hours after starting the fundraising, he collected N200 million.

On November 20, the day before his birthday, Davido made the decision to give all of the money—plus an additional N50 million—to orphanages all throughout Nigeria as a birthday gift.

He then established a five-person committee to supervise the proper distribution of the funds.

After David Adeleke donated N250 million to orphans, prayers and cheers could be heard all over the nation.

At the 15th Headies Awards, the deed earned him the Humanitarian Award of the year.
