Kwara Civil Servants Will Work Three Days Per Week After Subsidy Removal

Following the Federal Government’s elimination of the gasoline subsidy, the Kwara State Government has approved a temporary palliative measure to provide some comfort to the workforce.

Murtala Atoyebi, the Chief Press Secretary, released a statement on Monday on behalf of the State Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole.

Oluwole added that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has ordered a reduction in the number of workdays from five to three for each employee.

She gave orders to all state ministry, department, and agency (MDA) heads to promptly devise a format identifying each employee under them’s alternate workdays.

However, the head of service cautioned the staff not to take advantage of the governor’s generosity, stating that her office will step up its routine surveillance of MDAs to guarantee strict compliance.
