After meeting with Tinubu, JOHESU terminates its strike.

 

The indefinite strike by the Joint Health Sector Unions and Assembly of Healthcare Professional Associations has been put on hold for 21 days.

Following a Monday meeting between the union leaders and President Bola Tinubu, the suspension was made public.

In a text message to our correspondent, the acting national secretary, Matthew Ajirotu, said that the president had pledged to accede to their demands.

He declared, “JOHESU has now concluded its strike with a condition that it be reviewed in 21 days.

“We had a one-hour discussion with President Tinubu today, and he promised to approve the demands following additional consultations with relevant government officials.”
