Mrs. Oluwatoyin Falade, a woman, is requesting the dissolution of her 11-year marriage due to Segun’s promiscuous behavior.
The 44-year-old wife requested a divorce from the Orile Agege Customary Court.
The petitioner, who resides in Agege, Lagos’ Tunde Davids Close, has two children for Segun who are eight and eleven years old.
“My husband is a flirt; anything wearing a skirt makes him swoon. I had two girls, aged 15 and 18, before I wed him.
“They stay with me, and I don’t trust my husband because he chases everything in a skirt,” the woman was quoted as saying by NAN.
In addition, Oluwatoyin said that her husband “changes women anyhow” and doesn’t value her.
The petitioner described how neighborhood residents made fun of her as a result of the circumstance.
In response, Segun, a member of the Lagos State judiciary, admitted to adultery and bringing “different women” home.
“My Lord, you can see how clean my wife is. She is not in pain. I recently bought her a phone, and I cover the kids’ tuition,” he said.
The 46-year-old citizen pleaded with the court not to grant the dissolution, promising that if given another chance, he would make things right.
The Court President, Adewale Adegoke, instructed them to maintain their composure throughout the proceedings after hearing from both parties.
In order to allow for an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process, the case was postponed until May 30.
