Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police, has urged anyone who claims to have witnessed singer Seun Kuti assaulting a police officer to contact him.
On Tuesday, Hundeyin announced this via his Twitter account.
He shared a video of the assault and wrote,
“Please send me a DM if you are the man in this video, know him, or are a witness to the assault mentioned in the video.”
“Witness safety is guaranteed.” We appreciate your civic consciousness.”
Kuti assaulted a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State in a 12-second video clip that went viral on May 13, 2023.
The defendant surrendered at the Lagos State Prison. Police Command, Ikeja, on Monday, following an order for his arrest by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba.
