After 11 years of waiting, a couple welcomes their first child.

Ifeanyi Fakzy, a journalist, and his wife have welcomed their first child after 11 years of infertility.

On Wednesday, he announced the news on Facebook, writing, “I am glad that after 11 years, God has graciously blessed my family in a special way.” We recently welcomed our first child, a baby girl, since our marriage in 2012.

“After suffering tantrums and mockery for the past agonizing decade and more, my wife and I can now be called “parents.” God still responds to prayers. “Praise be to His name.”
