Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has revealed that he grew up among criminals in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The singer stated this in an interview posted on the Hey! Steph channel on Tuesday.
He stated that growing up in that environment shaped him into the person he is today, and he would not want anyone else to grow up in that environment.
“I grew up among criminals,” he explained. It’s insane. I grew up on a military base. If you know that place well, you’ll know that it’s similar to a place in Port Harcourt where people didn’t go when I was growing up.
“I grew up around criminals, thugs, and the like.” in that manner. I grew up near pipelines and other illegal activities. So, there were a lot of difficulties for me, but what I said is part of what made me who I am today, for which I am extremely grateful.”
