The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the start date for the school-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2023.
The examination will begin on Monday, May 8th, according to WAEC.
Patrick Areghan, the Head of National Office, made the announcement at a pre-examination press conference in Lagos State on Thursday.
The exams are set to end on Friday, June 23rd, giving candidates seven weeks to demonstrate their academic prowess.
According to Areghan, 1,621,853 candidates from 20,851 government and private schools have registered for the exam.
