Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the Adamawa State INEC REC, was finally apprehended by police.

Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, has been arrested by police.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had called for Hudu’s arrest in connection with the illegal declaration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru Ahmed, as the winner of the supplementary poll.

Hudu was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday, according to a police spokesperson.
