Aminat Tajudeen, a 100-level student at the Kwara State College of Education, slumped and died in class while listening to a lecture.
The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to our correspondent.
She was said to have returned to class after collecting her matriculation gown for the ceremony scheduled for Thursday (today).
The late Aminat was rushed to the school clinic after she suddenly slumped during a lecture, according to a senior school staff member who did not want his name printed because he was not permitted to speak on the incident.
She was later taken to Osere’s Muslim cemetery for Janazah and burial.

When contacted on Thursday evening, Mrs Abibat Zubair, the college Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and told Punch that she was a Music/Yoruba student who was mourned by the college and students during the matriculation ceremony.
“The Provost visited the parents yesterday to express his condolences, and he also mourned her today during the matriculation ceremony alongside the students,” the PRO said.
