Peter Obi sues Peoples Gazette for publishing a call that was altered.

I’ll keep thanking Nigerians for their continued dedication to the fundamental goal of a New Nigeria that is Possible even after the February 25, 2023 presidential election, especially the youth and the Obidients.

It is official that I remained committed to and focused on an issue-based campaign about a New Nigeria that is Possible, a move away from consumption and toward production, and a New Nigeria that is distinguished by inclusion, justice, equity, fairness, and prosperity.

I emphasized time and time again that voters should consider my character, competence, capacity, credibility, and compassion instead of their tribe or religious affiliation in order to make an informed decision.

The current attempts by the APC as a Party and the APC-led government to deflect our focus away from our blatantly stolen mandate through some government officials and agencies are unfortunate and sad.

These have appeared and have persisted in various forms, including the malicious accusation of Mr. Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information, the dissemination of a phony doctored audio call, and pressure on me to leave the country.

The audio call that is being spread is fake, and I never suggested—not once during the campaign or since—that the 2023 election will be or was a religious conflict.

The attempts to influence Nigerians are despicable and very sad. the law firm

Nigerians should remain calm and law-abiding.

Those who are obsessed with stoking the polity, causing divisions, tensions, and hatred both within and outside Nigeria should remember that Nigeria is our only country. Our focus should be on how to address the numerous challenges that we face, such as:

flawed electoral processes, the parlous state of our economy, unsustainable debt burden, lamentable unemployment and inflation, insecurity, and multi-dimensional poverty. A New Nigeria is possible, and God will assist us. – PO
